Sponsorship

Grupo Lábaro wishes to be linked with sport and the hobbies its clients have. Thus, it especially provides support to sport in our country, and allocates substantial items of its budget to sporting events. It also undertakes to help promising young sportsmen and women, such as the rally driver Dani Sordo, in order to promote his sporting career.

Spanish National Handball Team

Grupo Lábaro has been the Official Sponsor of the Spanish National Handball Team during the 2005/06 and 2006/2007 seasons.

Dani Sordo

Grupo Lábaro is the Official Sponsor of Dani Sordo for one more season, and supports him in all the events he participates in.

His youth and his excellent career have led the Grupo Lábaro to trust in his possibilities and contribute to his participation in the World Rally Championship.

Thanks to our sponsorship, Dani Sordo can compete at the highest level and demonstrate his skills, a unique opportunity for this promising young Spaniard who some consider to be the successor of Carlos Sainz.

After 2006 which was full of sporting achievements and good news regarding his future as a driver, this year, - accompanied as always over these last two years by Marc Martí- he has commenced a new stage in his professional career with even more energy at the controls of the C4 WRC.

Sordo began this season aiming to stay always on the road always, finish the rally and try to contribute the maximum number of points possible to Citroën. In the rallies disputed up to now, the driver has complied with his undertaking.

Supporting to sport

Club Toledo Balonmano

The Group has also opted for this sport and is the Official sponsor of the Club Toledo Balonmano, now called Lábaro Toledo Balonmano.

After a meteoric rise to the National Fists Division only four years after its creation, the team from Toledo was just a step away from reaching the Honour Division this season (2006-2007).

The President of the Royal Federation, Jesús López Ricondo, has always stressed the importance of the fact that companies opt for Spanish handball, which "is an enormous help in the mission to promote a diffuse our sport".

MMT Estudiantes

Grupo Lábaro has been the official sponsor of the MMT Estudiantes basketball team for the last two seasons. The cooperation contract includes various sports and PR activities.

Grupo Lábaro is intensely involved in our work with the Estudiantes Basketball Club as official sponsor and this club is also one of the key members of our Business Club.

Jaime Bergel

Another of the sponsors of the Grupo Lábaro within the world of car sports, is Jaime Bergel in The Spanish Large Saloon Championship, in which he drives a Lamborghini Gallardo.

Unión Club Cee

The Unión Club Cee Football Club, from the town in Galicia from which it takes its name, has subscribed to a sponsorship agreement with the Grupo Lábaro, in which our company undertakes to be its sponsor until 2009.

In return, the logo of the Grupo Lábaro appears on the strip, on both the shirts and pants, together with promoting us on the park hoardings, we ensure the maximum presence of the name and we have VIP seats assigned for the matches, among other agreements.

Grupo Lábaro participates in other sporting activities which support Olympic sport:

• Tennis: sponsorship of the VII International Women’s Tennis Tournament in Girona.
• Basketball: sponsorship of the “Lábaro Estepona” Basketball team in Malaga.
• Beach Volley Ball: sponsorship of the VII Beach Volley Ball Tournament City of Marbella-Grupo Lábaro.
• Surfing: sponsoring of the I Team Surf and Bodyboard championship in Muxía.
