Charity Galas

The Foundation Fundaspandem now in its seventh consecutive year organises the Summer Lyrical Dinner at the Hotel Villa Padierna in Málaga together with the Fundación Vega. The funds collected are used for physically and psychically handicapped persons. The Grupo Lábaro supports this charitable gala with its presence.

The Grupo Lábaro also sponsored the performance of the opera "Carmen" of Bizet, in the Hotel Kempinski in Estepona (Málaga), on July 26, 2006. The profits from the event were given to the Association Nuevo Futuro, a non-profit making association for the protection of children, which manages homes for children deprived of families.

Cultural activities

The V, VI and VII World Festival of Religious Music is another of the events in which the Grupo Lábaro collaborated. organised by the Town Hall of Girona and were also sponsored by La Caixa, El Corte Inglés and the Generalitat de Catalunya).

Awe also sponsored the International Festival of Theatre in Girona which takes place between October and January. Another of the scenarios chosen by the Grupo Lábaro is the Auditori of this Catalonian city which has a stable, broad musical programme.

Action Against Hunger

Grupo Lábaro alos collaborates with Action Against Hunger through the organisation of solidarity campaigns. Last Christmas, the Grupo Lábaro carried out the campaign "Your smile is worth more than ever. Give your best as a gift, give a smile" directed to its employees.

The company donated ten euros to Acción contra el Hambre for each photo which the employees, together with their families and friends, hung on the company Christmas tree. The total amount (€30,000) is for the project "Access to drinking water for underprivileged populations in Gao and Timbuctu, Mali. Construction-Rehabilitation of 5 wells".

This is a long-term project aimed at supporting the civil society through technical training and management so that the beneficiaries become capable of identifying their needs and can start up their own programme for accessing drinking water.

The construction of wells is the latest stage in this broad programme. To date, the project is progressing at the rate planned: all the agents are identified and the training defined and ready to begin.

APRONA

Another of the associations Grupo Lábaro collaborates with is the Asociación Pro-Discapacitados Psíquicos de Estepona (APRONA). Grupo Lábaro finances several of its global integration projects.
